The noted philosopher, Dr. Satadal Kargupta, has written that Richard D.
Lem, the author of this book, "is a gifted talent of many qualities. Amongst
them his benevolent, silent service to the society in general and to the
persons around him in particular are worth mentioning.
"His role as a counselor, teacher, pianist, painter and artist, a developer
of philosophical and ethical solutions of day to day life through the process
of walking or running, has benefited a great number of his admirers.
"Since childhood he has visioned in dreams many paranormal sights. In
mature age these have made him engrossed in endless running from past to
present and then to future life..."
Richard's art has been exhibited at galleries in Los Angeles, New York,
and Paris. He is included in many publications, including Who's Who in the West;
Who's Who in American Art; Who's Who in America 2002; Who's Who in the World 2002;
The International Register of Profiles, 1981 (Cambridge, England); and
Contemporary Personalities (Academia Italia).
When asked to crystalize his personal philosophy in a single statement,
Richard wrote, "It requires a great deal of inner strength to pursue your
personal vision with single mindedness - it's a challenge that justifies
my existence."
